ExploreJimny joins the TAG Family
One of the most recognisable Jimnys in Australia is now rocking a TAG Extreme Recovery Towbar!
Malin from ExploreJimny has gained a huge following online for her helpful content and amazing pictures of the JB47 making its way in the great outdoors, and we are proud to introduce them as our newest brand ambassador!
Malin moved to Australia back in 2016 as a student and has called down under her home ever since. She bought her first Jimny in 2021 which has opened up a world of opportunities and has introduced her to some amazing people, especially the famously wholesome Jimny community including the JB74 QLD and Jimny Girls QLD groups. Just recently Malin and her partner Dre introduced the second Jimny to the fleet – the 5-door Jimny XL!
We are super excited to partner with TAG and showcase how the Towbars can be useful for the Jimny’s, especially when it comes to rear recovery and opportunities for towing mini trailers. Starting this new 5-door build has so far been a lot of fun and we’re keen to showcase how versatile and capable these two Jimny’s can be on- and off-road.Â
The 3-door Jimny has a huge list of modifications that have helped to turn this cute little SUV into a proper offroad champion. The key performance enhancements include a 4” Snorkel by Meredith Metalworks and an Airbox, Throttle Controller and 2.5” Exhaust from Torqit. To increase offroad capability and clearance, Malin opted for our Extreme Recovery Towbar, in addition to the pre-registration GVM Upgrade and 2” Lift from Ironman 4x4, and 235/75/15 BFGoodrich tyres paired with ROH One Twenty Wheels.
Malin has done plenty to get the aesthetics of this little beast just right, including custom badges, colour-coded bash plate, and blacked-out lights. For the full breakdown be sure to visit the ExploreJimny Instagram page link in bio.
The shiny new 5-door Jimny is just getting started, with it’s first modifications really giving it a sleeker street style that would see the Jimny XL just as at home in the city as out on the dirt roads of the Glass House Mountains. The key mods to mention so far include the same air-in-air-out combo as the 3-door, a Formula 4x4 Suspension upgrade, and of course, the TAG XR Towbar bringing up the rear.
Our plan for the next 12 months is to continue building both Jimny’s and improving the way we travel and pack for both shorter and longer trips. You’ll most likely see us travelling to K’gari and Moreton Island in addition to smaller community meets, and we encourage people to join where they can!
If you are just as obsessed as we are with these mini and mighty machines, then make sure to follow the journey of these builds in real-time on the ExploreJimny Instagram and YouTube Channel.
